Hey there, I saw that you requested with the Previous Admin of the Chihayafuyu Wiki to join our affiliates list? I am the new Admin having picked things up now and just wanted to ask if an affiliation would be still ok? If so leave me a short message, and I'll add you :D Here is our wordmark.
Hey wanna start a few threads in the forums together to see if it'll attract more people join the wiki community? Topics that involve a lot of personal opinions should be perfect (e.g. what we enjoy about the story, art style, critiques on the anime) XD just some random ideas
That would be fine. :) My only problem is that, I cannot think of a topic to discuss that will involve a lot of people. >_>" The match of Eiichiro and Takuma in the manga is probably a good one but that involves a lot of spoilers and there are no scanlations available for it =_="
You should. XD Then help me summarizing them (as if I can summarize them though .. Oops) Well, there is still a group that provide English scans, though it seems to be in a low priority or something? At least, the translator provides information/summaries regarding the latest releases so it still helps. :)
I check Japanese raws once in a while but I rely heavily on the images. Only when I am in the mood, I use the (not-so reliable yet) google translate if I need to clear up something or ask a friend. xD
Well, can't help it. Baby Steps does not have over-the-top superpowers. lol It does not help that Eiichiro thinks A LOT. xDD and some are disappointed on how many times Eiichiro loses during critical moments. /sigh
How about Eiichirou and his losing habit or Eiichirou and his loses - doesn't really have to be a question right? ^_^
After you post the thread, you can just click the more button and highlight the thread. Forum is a relatively new wikia feature and its not widely used anyways, so don't worry about not knowing how to use it lol
HAHAHahaha... *sweatdrops* orz
At least, they will participate on easy polls (who will win.. bla bla XD) ... and at least, someone still read some articles once in a while. I feel assured. XDD Lately, it's like I've been writing to a diary especially last week when the number of views did not even reach 1000. Wow. =_=
Probably, they really want updates from the manga that has not been scanlated yet but ... orz
... actually, I planned to reply but did not pursue it since the question was directed to you. xD
FYI, I'm a 'she' XDv
Also, off-topic, better check the Template:Switch in your other wikias that you manage if you have time. Due to the goodness of our beloved wikia (lol), that template is "malfunctioning" now. (The pictures cannot be 'switched').
Well, the addition of social networking buttons seems to cause the 'malfunctioning of Template:Switch'. The whole story (and the possible fix) can be found here.
According to here and here, elems = document.getElementsByTagName("*"); lists of all elements on a page. One way of dealing it is to limit the elements that variable elems will receive in such a way that:
You will not receive an error of "Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function" (you can see that error when you open the console part of a browser)
Toggle (and by extension, Template:Switch) will work
As for why I chose span, it was a trial-and-error due to my frustrations on the wikia messupdate during that time and the lack of time to handle the problem. xD Again, the solution is crude because once it comes to the point that there are thousands of span elements, ImaypunchwikiaXDthe template may not work.
I was just looking around the messages. But I'm good at Japanese. I'm also good at Hiragana and Katakana like Chixm8. I do understand a lot of vocabularies. I just can't read Japanese. The grammar is confusing.
Yes! I can understand Kanji, but I don't know how to read and what readings to use (ex: 火山 (Kazan Volcano), but normally, you'd read 火 (ka fire) as "hi" and 山 (zan mountain) as "yama". Makes no sense and I heard there is no rule for it). The grammar makes no sense in a way. "Japanese verb conjugation is the same for all subjects, first person ("I", "we"), second person ("you") and third person ("he/she/it" and "they"), singular and plural." is what I read. Ugh..
Ahh.. I know that feeling. XD The frustration on reading a kanji.
By the way, regarding grammar, uhm ... how does it not make sense? Is it because you do not need to care whether the verb is in singular or plural (for instance)? ^^;;
Anyway, good thing you can read a bit. *_* You see, there are a lot of pages (I'm glaringlooking at you, character pages XD) that need to be updated. You can probably check the databook of Baby Steps and see what you can contribute, like Eiichiro's favorite food or his family. Something like that. :)
Just ask if you have questions. I do not know if I can help you when it comes to JPN grammar and kanji stuff though. :))
